How We Started
CJM Furniture began when Cork locals Jim O’Sullivan and Colin Murphy teamed up in 2009 with a shared idea: to offer quality used furniture at affordable prices, without compromising on choice or condition. Jim had already been selling used office furniture since 2000, and when the two combined forces, CJM opened its doors from a modest 3,000 sq ft premises on the Old Blackrock Road.
That small store didn’t stay small for long. In 2010, the business moved to the Marina Commercial Park, where it kept growing—one satisfied customer and one smart purchase at a time. Today, CJM operates from a 25,000 sq ft warehouse showroom, and remains one of Munster’s biggest names in second-hand and liquidated furniture.
What We Do Best
We buy and sell quality used and liquidated furniture—everything from home essentials like sofas, wardrobes and dining sets, to full office fit-outs with desks, chairs, storage, and more. Our stock is always changing, and we’re proud to offer real variety, with something to suit every space, taste, and budget.
For businesses, we offer space planning, clearance, relocation, and installation services. We also have an in-house workshop, run by experienced carpenters, where we can adjust, modify or custom-build pieces to suit your needs. Whether you're setting up a home office, upgrading your reception, or kitting out a workspace from scratch, we're here to help.

THE TEAM BEHIND THE WORK
CJM has grown with the help of a tight-knit team, many of whom have been with us for years. From our knowledgeable floor staff to the skilled hands in our on-site workshop, everyone plays a part in keeping the standard high. Our workshop includes two expert carpenters and all the tools needed to modify, re-edge, or customise desks, counters, and more—something not every used furniture seller can offer.
